WPPI 2009

WOW! WOW! WOW!

I am in my hotel room (waiting for Ryan to arrive in Vegas) but I have completed WPPI 2009 as of now. I have so much to share with you all and so much to put into action when I return home. I was inspired more this year and I am eager to practice and utilize the things that I learned this week. More to come on this later…for now….I wanted to share my top 5 things I learned (in mostly my own words while taking notes) and a special photo (not a great one though)…

1. Be yourself. No exceptions. No Apologies. No second guessing yourself. - Audrey Woulard

2. Break the rules. Be the artist. - Yearvant

3. In 2010 there will be 130,000 photographers in the United States! - Marcus Bell

4. Dream Big. Envision Success. - Marcus Bell

5. Even in the “bad times” aka a recession or the like - “Art will still be.” - Marcus Bell

The best part of this whole trip was that I got to see AND meet my TRUE inspiration….AUDREY WOULARD! She is amazing and the most real, kind, talented, and funny photographer ever! Here is a photo I took through the very crowded and semi-dark room:

Thank you Audrey for teaching and inspiring the lucky 200 that got to hear you speak. :)

Off to meet Ryan and his family for the rest of the week in Vegas. Back on Monday to share more!!
